From the middle of March, the weather is continuously changing. After the sun rises, the weather changes in the evening. Due to this change in the weather, there has been a brake on the rising mercury. Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, it is raining since three days. Due to the sudden U-turn of the weather, the temperature running above 33 degrees reached 28 degrees on Friday.
It has rained for seven days since March 1 in Delhi. In this way, 83.2 mm of rain has been recorded so far in the whole of March. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the weather again took a turn in Delhi-NCR after Friday afternoon. Intermittent light to heavy rain occurred in different areas. This period of rain continued throughout the night.
Ridge being the coldest area
On Friday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was three degrees below normal at 28.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was one degree below normal at 16.8 degrees Celsius. From Thursday to Friday 8:30 am, 16.1 mm of rain was recorded. Whereas till 5:30 pm there was 000.1 mm of rain. The Delhi Ridge recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13.7 °C in the plains of northwestern India. The minimum temperature in Ayanagar and Lodi Road was 16.4 degree Celsius. Delhi’s Lodi Road area recorded the highest rainfall of 23.0 mm till Friday morning.
March was cooler than last two years
Compared to the last two years, this year’s March was somewhat cooler. The average maximum temperature of March was 30.9 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 16.2 degree Celsius. Earlier in 2022, the maximum temperature was 32.9 and the minimum temperature was 17.9 and in 2021, 33.1 and the minimum temperature was 16.8 degree Celsius. The average maximum temperature in 2020 and 2019 was 28.2 °C.
Forecast of light rain on April 1 and 3
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no increase in temperature for two days. Partly Cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain in some areas again on April 1 and 3. After April 3, the maximum temperature will start increasing. Once again the temperature will reach 33 degrees. The maximum temperature on Saturday is estimated to be 30 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 15 degrees.
